The Stagg varsity volleyball team from Palos Hills, Illinois, secured a straight-sets victory against Andrew High School of Tinley Park, Illinois, during a road conference match on October 7, 2025. The event took place at Victor J. Andrew High School.
According to the match details, the Chargers dominated both sets, winning with scores of 25–10 and 25–21 to achieve a 2–0 sweep. Sophomore Katy Zumerchik led the offensive effort with 14 kills and six digs. Junior Amelia Kadamus contributed eight kills and two blocks in what was described as an efficient offensive performance. Senior setter M. Gasienica played a crucial role by providing 25 assists and two aces, ensuring Stagg’s offense maintained its rhythm throughout the match.
Stagg’s defensive efforts were highlighted by Areli Colon and Elaina Yasin, who together managed 12 digs to sustain rallies and apply pressure on Andrew’s attack. This victory is indicative of the team’s increasing confidence and consistency as they approach the end of the regular season.
