Stagg High School’s boys golf team faced a challenging tri-meet against Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West, ultimately finishing with a team score of 177. Lincoln-Way West recorded a score of 154, while Lincoln-Way Central led the competition with 149.
The meet occurred on October 9th, where the Chargers demonstrated steady improvement and consistent play across their lineup despite facing two of the area’s top programs.
According to recent results, Stagg rebounded quickly over the weekend by placing ninth at the St. Rita Southside Shootout on Saturday. Senior leader Paul Chrowaniec paced the Chargers with an impressive round of 80, setting the tone for the team’s continued progress this fall. His poise under pressure and strong finish helped Stagg climb the leaderboard against a talented field. The performance reflected the squad’s ongoing development and determination to finish the season on a high note.
The last time Stagg faced Lincoln-Way West and Lincoln-Way Central in a tri-meet, both teams also edged out narrow victories, indicating how competitive this rivalry continues to be.
