The Stagg girls competitive dance team delivered its top performance of the season at the IHSA Sectional, posting its highest score of the year and continuing a strong postseason push.
The sectional meet was held Jan. 24 at Maine South High School, where the Chargers took the floor in the afternoon session and competed against a deep field of programs from across the area.
Stagg’s routine marked its cleanest and most complete performance of the winter, combining sharp execution, strong synchronization and energy throughout the pom and jazz elements. The team’s season-best score reflected steady improvement over the course of the year and rewarded a group that has continued to build momentum through invitational and conference competition.
The Chargers’ effort was the result of consistent preparation and attention to detail, with the routine showcasing both technical precision and performance quality. The sectional appearance also provided valuable postseason experience for a roster that has grown more confident and composed with each outing.
With the highest score of the season coming on one of the biggest stages, Stagg closed the sectional round on a high note and demonstrated the progress the program has made throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
