The Stagg Chargers are set to defend their home court on Thursday night as they face the Lincoln-Way Central Knights in a SouthWest Suburban Conference matchup. The game will take place at Stagg High School in Palos Hills, with the first serve scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
According to available records, the Knights enter the contest with an overall record of 17-8, while the Chargers stand at 15-12. The match is slated for Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Lincoln-Way Central’s performance this season has been bolstered by standout hitter Katy Zumerchik, who has accumulated 233 kills and 159 digs. Amelia Kadamus has been a defensive asset with 52 total blocks and 32 aces. Maggie Gasienica continues to lead the Knights’ offense with 408 assists. In contrast, Stagg’s success has been attributed to balance and depth, highlighted by strong serving and improved play against top conference opponents, including a recent sweep of Andrew High School. Both teams have had mixed results against common opponents, setting up what promises to be an evenly matched and competitive showdown.
Following Thursday’s match, Stagg will travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais on October 21, while Lincoln-Way Central will visit Richards on October 23 to conclude regular-season play.
This meeting marks the first head-to-head encounter between the two teams in the year 2025.
