Stagg Girls Swim team eyes strong showing at state

The Stagg High School girls’ swim team is preparing for a fast-paced finish to their season, aiming to make a strong impression at the upcoming Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Girls State Championship.

According to the team’s schedule, the Chargers will compete on November 14–15, 2025, at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont, Illinois. They plan to bring their best athletes to the state stage.

Throughout the season, Stagg has built momentum with solid performances in both individual events and relays. Coaches are emphasizing speed, endurance, and precise technique as swimmers prepare for the high-stakes competition. Key contributors are expected to lead in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and medley events, helping the team contend for top honors.

Following the regular season and conference meets, Stagg will travel to Westmont for the state championship. Their performances in preliminaries will determine final event placements. Coaches express confidence that the team’s preparation and dedication will translate into strong results against some of the best programs in Illinois.

The Chargers hope to showcase their talent and teamwork on the state stage, continuing a tradition of competitive swimming and representing Stagg High School with pride.
