Stagg High School’s basketball team faced a 67–49 defeat against Lockport in a conference matchup held on January 6 at Lockport High School’s East Gym.
According to the game report, Stagg managed to secure 27 rebounds and seven steals but struggled to match Lockport’s ball movement. The Chargers concluded the game with four assists and shot 45 percent from the field, including 25 percent from three-point range, while converting 75 percent of their free throws. In contrast, Lockport recorded 22 assists and 14 steals, shooting 50 percent overall and 36 percent from beyond the arc. Despite Stagg’s defensive efforts keeping them competitive at times, Lockport’s efficiency ultimately led to their victory.
Looking ahead, Stagg is set to visit Lincoln Way West for another conference game on Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30 p.m.
The previous encounter between Stagg and Lockport took place on January 31, 2025, where Lockport secured a decisive win with a score of 71–33 in a boys’ basketball conference game.
