Stagg cheer coach Danielle Doidge said that her team’s previous season established a new benchmark for the program, marked by standout performances that have positioned the athletes for continued success.
“Overall, we did really well,” said Doidge, Head Coach. “The highlight of our season was sectionals — we hit zero. It was the best score Stagg has ever had in cheer.”
According to Doidge, she brought in senior leaders who have been pivotal to the team’s success, relying on their mindset and work ethic to set an example for younger athletes. Their influence helps maintain focus, discipline, and positivity during long practice sessions.
The team is setting ambitious goals this season, targeting improvements in skill, culture, and competition results. A daily “1% better” mindset drives consistent growth and keeps athletes accountable to both individual and team objectives.
Reaching the state level remains a high benchmark, particularly in the competitive co-ed division where only the top 10 programs advance. The rigorous standard motivates the athletes to refine technique, maintain sharpness, and perform with precision under pressure.
