At the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic, the Stagg varsity basketball team defeated Glenbrook South 59–53 in a neutral-site tournament game.
The game took place on Friday, Dec. 26, at York Community High School.
Stagg controlled the tempo with a strong start and closed out the game late, using an 18-point fourth quarter to pull away for a 59–53 win over Glenbrook South at the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic. Mohammad Farhan led all scorers with a dominant 27 points, shooting efficiently inside while also grabbing 10 rebounds to anchor the Chargers on both ends. Petar Zoko added 12 points and dished out 7 assists, while Dovydas Zuperka chipped in 11 points, including timely perimeter shots that kept Stagg ahead. Overall, the Chargers balanced their scoring with solid rebounding and ball movement, finishing with 16 assists and holding Glenbrook South at bay in key moments to secure the tournament victory.
Up next: The Stagg Chargers will face the Wheaton North Falcons in a neutral tournament matchup. The Chargers enter the game with a 10-2 record, while the Falcons stand at 7-4.
This was the first time the Stagg Chargers faced the Glenbrook South Titans.
